Primary School Teacher Year 4 (Co-teacher), 80%
Description
About the job
Uppsala Enskilda Skola is an independent, foundation-run primary school from preschool class to year 5. This means any profit is reinvested directly in the operations. We have approximately 260 students and 34 employees.
The school has two parallel classes from preschool class to year 3 and one parallel class in years 4 and 5. In each class, a class teacher works together with at least one support staff member. After-school care is an important part of our school and many students participate daily.
We place great emphasis on a relational approach and work with low-affect responses. Here you will meet an engaged staff group with high expectations of both students and colleagues, where we work together to create a safe, structured, and accessible learning environment.
For the academic year 2026/2027, we are now seeking a primary teacher for year 4 in a co-teacher role (co-teacher) at 80%. The class will consist of approximately 33–35 students and is led by a class teacher with overall responsibility. The class also has a support resource.
Your duties
As a co-teacher, you work in close collaboration with the class teacher and contribute to creating a functional and accessible teaching situation for the entire student group.

- taking responsibility for the whole class on certain occasions, e.g., when the class teacher has planning time
- contributing to planning and follow-up of teaching
- supporting students in the classroom to create working peace and participation
- participating as an extra adult during practical-aesthetic lessons
- having break duty and some practical duties in the school day
The work is characterized by collaboration, flexibility, and shared responsibility for students' development and safety.
Who are you?
We are looking for a certified teacher with qualifications to teach in middle school.
We see that you:
- have experience teaching in years 4–6
- have a good ability to create structure, working peace, and clarity in the classroom
- have a relational approach and can build safe relationships with students
- are flexible and unpretentious in your work
- enjoy collaboration and can work closely with colleagues
It is meritorious if you have special education teacher or special educator qualifications or experience working with students in need of special support.
With us you get:
- work in a close and collaborative organization
- be an important part in creating a sustainable learning environment for a larger student group
- opportunity to work both teaching and supporting

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
The position is a part-time position at 80% starting on August 10, 2026, until June 17, 2027.
