Description

Do you want to work in a role where you can combine structure with creative freedom and great influence? We are looking for an initiative-taking and independent marketing coordinator for Sjösportskolan and YKB-skolan, two growing educational companies in the maritime and transport sectors. Here, you will actively contribute to how we are seen, communicate, and develop.

The position is a temporary contract due to parental leave, with good chances of extension.


About the role

This is a broad and developing role where you become a key person connecting administration, marketing, and brand development. The role suits someone who enjoys taking responsibility, switching between structure and creativity, and gets energy from both creating content and building relationships. It is important that you thrive with daily contact with customers, colleagues, and instructors, and that you have a service-oriented approach and enjoy solving problems.

You will work closely with the marketing manager, management, and instructors, focusing on keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring customer satisfaction, and growing the brands.

The role combines three areas:

Administration & service

You will manage course flows, bookings, and participant handling within YKB-skolan.

  • Handle registrations, participant lists, and certificates
  • Support instructors before and during courses
  • Create order in planning, materials, and invoice documentation


Sales & customer contact

You will follow up on corporate customers and create new relationships within YKB-skolan.

  • Reach out to new customers, especially in the transport industry (B2B), through follow-ups, contact, and campaigns
  • Assist in campaigns and customer follow-ups


Marketing & content

You will plan, produce, and publish ongoing content that strengthens our brands for Sjösportskolan and YKB-skolan.

  • Publish content on our social channels (from planning to publication)
  • Participate in planning of campaigns, newsletters, and digital advertising
  • Update websites with course start dates and news
  • Capture ideas from the business and turn them into content


You will work closely with the marketing manager and have plenty of room to influence form, tone, and initiatives in our channels.

Requirements

  • Accustomed to working with digital tools
  • Experience with Adobe CC, Meta Business Suite, and CRM systems
  • Basic understanding of digital advertising


Meriting knowledge

We especially value drive, curiosity, and responsibility, but the following are beneficial:

  • Experience in administration, sales, and customer contact
  • Experience in independently driving and completing projects
  • Experience with basic video production and editing


About us

Sjösportskolan is Sweden's oldest school for nautical education, founded in 1967, and provides leisure and vocational training with mandate from the Swedish Transport Agency. The head office is in Gothenburg.

YKB-skolan originated from Sjösportskolan and trains professional drivers in goods and passenger transport. The head office is in Alingsås.
