Special Education Teacher F-9

Södra skolan in Kalmar is a centrally located independent primary school for grades F - 9 and after-school care with approximately 390 students. Our focus area is EQ and sports, aiming for all students to become the best version of themselves - the power comes from within!

Södra skolan started in 2006 and belongs to the CIS group along with Västraskolan, Östra skolan on Öland, and CIS high school. The group also includes the preschools Västanvind and Sunnanvind.

We are now looking for a special education teacher for our team where the assignment primarily includes special educational tasks, with elements of teaching. You will work directly with students, but also contribute to mapping and investigations and compile appropriate documentation. You will be part of the Student Health Team and collaborate with school management. You will also have overall responsibility for the smaller teaching groups.

In your role as a special education teacher, you map students' strengths and needs, plan interventions, and suggest appropriate strategies, methods, and tools. You mentor teachers and other staff in their daily work with students in need of support and conduct classroom observations. You are responsible for developing, for example, educational mappings and action plans in collaboration with mentors. As a special education teacher, you are an important resource in follow-up, evaluation, and developing our routines and structures. You work systematically for improved goal achievement and have documentation responsibility. You will have overall responsibility for students who do not meet knowledge requirements and monitor the support these students receive. Your role also includes contacts with guardians and external actors.

The assignment has an F-9 perspective with a focus on F-6.

If you have training in Logos and/or Itpa3, it is advantageous.
