Car Mechanic - Specialist in Electric Vehicles and Eco-friendly Engine Reconditioning

Nordstar Mobility AB is a forward-looking company developing tomorrow's mobility solutions. We are currently in an exciting growth phase, conducting technical research, method development, and feasibility studies on environmentally adapted service methods for vehicles.

We are now seeking a Vehicle Technician / Test Engineer who wants to help lay the foundation for our technical development, with a special focus on international technology transfer and the establishment of new service standards.

About the role and tasks:

In this role, you will not primarily work with traditional and ongoing workshop tasks. As we are building our operations, the focus is initially on technical development, evaluation, testing, and research in the following key areas:

1. Analysis and method development for diagnostics, evaluation, and future service of modern electric vehicles (EVs) and advanced battery systems.

2. Research and development work (R&D) concerning innovative, environmentally adapted, and chemical-mechanical methods for remedying high oil consumption (oil burning) in internal combustion engines without the need for complete disassembly.

3. Evaluation of technical documentation, quality assurance, and testing in smaller test environments, as well as coordination and technical dialogue with international suppliers and research partners.

Qualifications and requirements:

- Documented technical background in vehicle mechanics, vehicle electronics, materials engineering, or equivalent, with a solid understanding of high-voltage systems (electric vehicles).

- Experience in technical problem-solving, testing, practical development work, or implementation of new service methods for vehicles (preferably with a focus on environmental efficiency).

- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin) is an absolute requirement for this position, as the role involves daily and close communication with technical research partners, manufacturers, and suppliers of test equipment and components in China.

- Knowledge of the Swedish language is a strong merit, but not a requirement at the start of employment.
