Description

We are now looking for experienced software developers who want to work with modern technology in an organization where technical decisions have concrete impact on the police's ability to prevent, investigate, and combat crime.

As a software developer with us, you will work on developing digital solutions that have a direct impact on the operations of the Swedish Police Authority. We are recruiting for several business areas developing systems that, for example, support information flows, case management, analysis, operational processes, or other parts of the police's critical mission.

You will become part of a cross-functional team where you contribute throughout the entire development chain – from technical analysis and design to implementation, testing, further development, and maintenance. The work is conducted close to the operations, meaning you will understand how the technology is used and the requirements for solutions to function securely, efficiently, and over time.

In this role, you may, among other things, work on:

  • developing and enhancing modern applications, services, and integration solutions
  • translating operational needs into robust and sustainable technical solutions
  • contributing to architecture, code quality, testability, and technical choices
  • working with systems that must handle high demands for security, availability, and traceability
  • contributing to continuous improvement of methods, technology, and development environments.

With us, you will have the opportunity to work with technical development in an environment where complexity, societal benefit, and long-term thinking converge.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Education in computer science/software development or equivalent acquired experience
  • Several years of professional experience in software development with modern languages and frameworks
  • Experience in backend or full-stack development
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Swedish citizenship

It is advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, and service-based architectures
  • Experience working with databases, information flows, and data modeling
  • Experience with test automation, CI/CD, and modern development processes
  • Experience building secure solutions in complex IT environments

Personal characteristics

You are skilled at analyzing and solving complex technical problems with an ambition to drive effective development that solves user problems and enhances their capabilities. You need to be structured and thrive on turning ideas into practical solutions.

At the same time, you need to be a good team player and a good listener, as the job requires extensive collaboration. We value your willingness and ability to contribute to the development of the business, while also being someone who wants to develop, learn new things, and share your expertise.

We will place great emphasis on personal characteristics.
