We are currently hiring a Technical Information Specialist for our client. This role is centered on developing high-quality workshop manual content within an aftermarket environment, with a focus on repair methodologies for electric vehicle components and transmission systems.
The selected candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional technical teams to produce precise, user-friendly documentation tailored for service personnel in workshop settings. The role demands a strong ability to interpret technical inputs and translate them into clear, structured, and actionable instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain repair method documentation for workshop technicians
- Produce structured content covering electric motors, EV batteries, and transmission systems
- Work in close coordination with technical writers, illustrators, and method engineers to refine and enhance documentation
- Interpret base technical inputs and transform them into clear, user-oriented instructions
- Ensure all documentation meets defined quality standards and appropriate levels of detail
- Apply accurate technical terminology and maintain consistency across all materials
- Adapt content to suit the knowledge level and requirements of end users in service environments
Skills Required
- Strong foundation in technical communication and documentation development
- Experience in industrial or engineering documentation environments
- Solid technical understanding, particularly within automotive, EV, or electrical systems
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise instructions
- Strong focus on end-user experience and content usability
- Proficiency in content structuring and adaptation
Education Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Technical Communication, Engineering, or a related field
Experience Required
- Intermediate-level experience in technical writing or technical documentation roles
- Hands-on experience creating instructional or procedural content
- Prior exposure to automotive, industrial, or electric vehicle domains is advantageous
Language Requirements
- Swedish: Proficient (mandatory)
- English: Proficient (mandatory)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within large automotive organizations, particularly in aftermarket or R&D environments
- Familiarity with structured authoring and documentation tools such as Arbortext or similar systems
