We are now looking for a head waiter for our archipelago restaurant with sea and nature around the corner.

About Tjärö

Tjärö, an island of 75 hectares, located in the middle of Blekinge's archipelago. Tjärö offers accommodation in charming small houses from the 19th century. There are 125 beds spread over 48 rooms in 13 different houses. In addition to lodging, there is conference business, restaurant, café, and a marina with over 70 boat slips. You reach the island by boat from Järnavik, Karlshamn, or Matvik.

About Tjärö's Restaurant

The restaurant on Tjärö is open for breakfast, lunch, a la carte, events, and theme evenings every day of the week. The restaurant has a capacity of about 100 guests in the dining room, 40 guests on the veranda, and a large outdoor seating area with a view of the marina. During low season, the conference business is the part of our offering that increases the workload in the kitchen, and during high season and weekends, a greater focus is on day guests, overnight guests, and boat guests.

The service team consists of between 10-20 people working with breakfast, lunch, and evening service. This means our staff must be prepared to be flexible regarding working hours, workstations, and always be part of the practical work.

Responsibilities

• Planning of daily operations and service.
• Purchasing of beverages and consumables
• Ongoing inventory.
• Planning of large parties, theme evenings, conferences.
• Maintaining ongoing communication with reception and kitchen.
• Training staff (e.g., routines, cash register system, workplace hygiene, ergonomics, etc.).
• Assisting and being creative regarding marketing, theme evenings, and events.
• Assisting our guests before, during, and after their stay to ensure they have the best possible experience.

Who are you?

• You are responsible, positive, organized, and wish to provide our guests with 100% service together with our kitchen team.
• You have experience working as a head waiter with a la carte service and are accustomed to a high pace.
• You believe you would enjoy an island with proximity to sea and nature.
• Knowledge of food and drink in combination is meritorious.
