IGS Assistans AB has recently won a procurement for personal assistance in Region Gotland and is therefore now seeking personal assistants for several assignments on the island.

About the position

We are now looking for a personal assistant who wants a meaningful job and the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life. The assignment concerns a man in his 70s living in Burgsvik. The man has his own carpentry workshop that is used frequently. Perfect for you who like to create with your hands and are handy. The man is a wheelchair user, so transfers occur in the work. Assistive devices are available at the workplace.

Working hours are 7:30 AM - 10:30 PM, both weekdays and weekends.

Your tasks include supporting the man in his daily life and helping with, among other things:

• Personal hygiene
• Cooking
• Transfers
• Exercise routines
• Outings and visits outside the home
• Assisting in the workshop

You will be employed as a substitute and receive hourly employment. This means you can control your own working hours and work as needed.

As a personal assistant, you provide individually tailored support to a person with a disability in their daily life. The work is performed in the client's home and in other environments where the client is present. Tasks vary based on the client's needs and may include personal care, support in daily routines, transfers, and accompaniment to activities and errands.

There is also opportunity to work for several clients in different locations around Gotland.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Ideally has experience working as a personal assistant
• Is responsible, perceptive, and has a professional approach
• Has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Has an interest in or experience with carpentry/woodwork, as the client has a workshop at home
• Has a driver's license and access to their own car
• Has the ability to work flexible hours

Employment terms

• Employment conditions according to the collective agreement with Kommunal
• Individual salary setting, hourly wage by agreement
