Case Officer for Training Project on Communication about Suspected Hybrid Threats
Description
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest agency. Working within the police is one of the finest missions one can have – to protect and help, to prevent and solve crimes, always with the greater task of making all of Sweden safe and secure.
The Swedish Police Authority continuously works to increase its preparedness to maintain order and security even when everyday life is not as usual. This may involve having backup plans to carry out its mission or ensuring access to equipment. Other examples of preparations include training and exercising staff.
The Swedish Police Authority is an important part of Sweden's total defense. Total defense consists of military and civil defense, where the civil defense's task is, among other things, to ensure society's resilience in times of war danger and war.
Do you want to be part of the Swedish Police Authority and the crime-fighting system? We are now looking for a case officer for the Communication Department's office.
The Communication Department is responsible for, among other things, directing, supporting, coordinating, and ensuring the Swedish Police Authority's internal and external communication. The department currently provides strategic and operational support to the authority, around the clock in parts, and has just over 80 employees. It consists of two national sections and an office.
The Communication Department is also responsible for, among other things, the police's media management, campaigns, and internal and external websites.
Communication Department Office
The position is at the Communication Department's office, which is responsible for directing, supporting, coordinating, and ensuring the department's operations through coordination, planning, and follow-up, as well as coordination responsibility for the Communication Department's crisis preparedness work. The office currently consists of 8 employees located in Kungsholmen, Stockholm.
About the project
The Swedish Police Authority has received special funds from the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency for a training project aimed at Swedish authorities and societal actors within total defense. The project aims to enhance the ability to communicate and collaborate regarding suspected hybrid incidents both in the so-called gray zone and during heightened preparedness. Enhancing this ability can help mitigate or even prevent negative consequences of an event, such as unrest or rumor spreading. Coordinated communication also contributes to creating safety and strengthening trust in authorities and Sweden's ability to manage crises and ultimately war.
