The Swedish Police Authority continuously works to increase its preparedness to maintain order and security even when everyday life is not as usual. This may involve having contingency plans to carry out its mission or ensuring access to equipment. Other examples of preparations include training and exercising personnel.
The Swedish Police Authority is an important part of Sweden's total defense. Total defense consists of military and civil defense, where the civil defense's task is, among other things, to secure society's resilience in times of war or threat of war.

The Communications Department is responsible for, among other things, directing, supporting, coordinating, and ensuring the Swedish Police Authority's internal and external communication. The department today provides strategic and operational support to the authority, around the clock in parts, and has just over 80 employees. It consists of two national sections and an office.
The Communications Department is also responsible for, among other things, police media management, campaigns, and internal and external websites.
Communications Department Office
The position is at the Communications Department's office, which is responsible for directing, supporting, coordinating, and ensuring the department's operations through coordination, planning, and follow-up, as well as coordination responsibility for the Communications Department's crisis preparedness work. The office currently consists of 8 employees located on Kungsholmen in Stockholm.
Job Description
The position involves a varied role as an administrative officer at the Communications Department's office, where you will primarily work with two parts. One is the department's preparedness planning and exercise activities. The other is working as a qualified administrative officer where legal expertise will also be required to handle issues such as GDPR, data protection matters, and general secrecy issues. The role will also include other administrative duties and administrative tasks. You will also be part of a team of qualified preparedness officers and communicators. You will collaborate with other functions internally within the Swedish Police Authority and with other actors in the preparedness sector for order and security.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
· Law degree
· Good ability to read and write in English
· Good knowledge of Swedish
· Swedish citizenship
· Good computer skills
· Good knowledge of the Office package
It is meritorious if you also have:
· Current experience in exercise management
· Current experience in preparedness planning
· Current experience in crisis communication
· Current experience in communications work deemed relevant by the employer
