Berga naturbruksgymnasium seeks service technician/mechanic

About the position

Our service technician is retiring and we are looking for his replacement. The job involves being the hub of our workshop and, together with students, servicing and repairing our various agricultural machines. The position also includes other farm-related repairs, e.g., in stables, gates, etc. You will be responsible for the machinery fleet with the help of other staff and students. Supervising and instructing students in the workshop is also part of the job.

Snow clearance duties are included during the winter months together with other staff.

Qualifications

You need to be able to weld, service and repair our agricultural machinery and vehicles, and be something of a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to repairs. You must have a B driver's license and be able to weld.

Terms

Permanent employment with 100% working hours, with a 6-month probationary period starting in August. To obtain employment at Berga naturbruksgymnasium, a criminal record extract must be presented. Selection and recruitment may take place continuously during the application period, so apply today.

Berga naturbruksgymnasium is located in Västerhaninge outside Stockholm and is owned and operated by Dille Gård AB. Our guiding principles are joy, responsiveness, and courage!

Berga is a high school with approximately 230 students. We have a farm with crop cultivation, cattle and sheep, and a large equestrian facility with its own indoor riding arena. For students coming from far away, there is a boarding house with over 100 places. The farm's area amounts to 600 hectares, giving the school a unique location in Stockholm County, just 30 minutes by commuter train from Stockholm Central Station. Since 1921, young people have been educated in agriculture at Berga, although the farm's history stretches much further back than that.
