A personal assistant is sought for a woman with a sense of humour and an interest in animals.

About the job:

I am a woman in my 30s who lives in my own flat in Götene and I am now looking for a personal assistant who wants to help create a safe, fun and meaningful everyday life together with me.

I need support in my daily life with personal care, planning and practical tasks, but I can communicate on my own and take an active part in what we do. I walk with support and I enjoy being on the move and getting out to activities.

I love animals and have a small dog that I enjoy training tricks with. Horses have long been a big part of my life and I also have my own horse and ride regularly. In addition, I enjoy crafts, outings and doing things both at home and outside the home. My days can vary; sometimes I want to do a lot and sometimes I need more calm. That is why it is important that you are attentive and can adapt your support to what I need in the moment.

As my assistant, you are a support in everyday life so that I can live an independent and fulfilling life. I want it to feel safe, relaxed and close-knit when we are together.

I have a great sense of humour and a twinkle in my eye, and I can be both clear and firm. That is why it is important that you feel secure in yourself and do not take things personally, but can meet me with warmth, patience and humour.

Working hours are scheduled as 24-hour shifts and sleep-in on-call duty. You will become part of a small assistance team where continuity and good cooperation are important.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, I believe you are a secure, attentive and flexible person who can adapt to my needs and how I am feeling that day. You are empathetic and find it easy to build a good relationship. You enjoy taking responsibility and can plan and structure everyday life, while also being spontaneous and able to go along with what happens. You need to take initiative without taking over, and to balance activity and rest based on what I need.

It is important that you have a sense of humour and meet me with warmth, patience and a twinkle in your eye. You need to enjoy being around animals, as I have a dog that is a natural part of my everyday life. If you also have an interest in horses, that is a big plus. Experience of personal assistance or of working with people with disabilities is an advantage but not a requirement. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish and a driving licence for a car.

The position is an hourly employment.
