Hourly Substitute Sought for the Boarding School/Teacher Assistant Karolinaskolan

In the heart of Skåne, in a scenic location with forest and water around the corner, lies Fogdaröd, a non-profit association with a hundred-year tradition behind it that has developed high quality in meeting and supporting each individual to use and develop their resources.

Fogdaröd has run Karolinaskolan for 25 years, a natural resource upper secondary school with a horticultural focus, specially designed for young people with some form of neuropsychiatric disability, such as high-functioning autism and ADHD. The school has 40 students in total and is based on a holistic solution with boarding.

Do you want to work closely with young people in this nature-close environment and be an important adult in their everyday lives? We are looking for new staff with experience of working with young people who need special support in school and after school hours, in the boarding house.

Your field of work includes the boarding house where you work to support and guide the young people in everyday life at the boarding house - in practical matters such as cleaning and laundry, as well as in social interaction and the young people's personal development. You help create the conditions for a meaningful leisure time. Mentorship with motivational and clarifying conversations as well as documentation is an important part of the work at the boarding house.

Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday and may be divided between day, evening and may also include sleeping night.

Continuous selection is applied.

You should have post-secondary education such as e.g.

- Treatment Pedagogue

- Social Pedagogue

- Teacher Assistant

- Recreation Leader

or other education/experience that the employer deems equivalent.

Knowledge, interest and experience regarding high-functioning young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities is desirable. We want you in our team if you as a person are responsive, adaptable, curious, structured and committed. Collaboration and cooperation are natural for you – with colleagues, families and clients.
