Support Companion – Sign Language and Tactile Sign Language

We are looking for a secure, attentive and committed person for work as an hourly employed support companion.

As a support companion, you provide support and company in everyday life and enable the person to take part in various activities based on their own wishes and needs. This may involve, for example, accompanying the person to leisure activities, social activities, walks or other errands.

Work duties

• Accompany and provide support during various activities outside the home.
• Be a secure and social support.
• Adapt communication to the person's needs.
• Contribute to independence and participation in everyday life.
• Communicate in sign language and tactile sign language.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has good knowledge of Swedish Sign Language.
• Can communicate using tactile sign language.
• Is secure and clear in your communication.
• Is attentive, responsible and respectful.
• Has a genuine interest in working with people.
• Can adapt to the individual's needs and wishes.

Experience of working as a support companion or in care and support services is an advantage, but personal suitability is important.

Form of employment

Hourly employment as needed.

Working hours may vary and are planned in consultation based on the needs of the organisation and the individual.
