Interim Manager for a government agency in Stockholm

Selecta Recruitment is looking for an experienced interim manager for a longer consulting assignment with a government agency in the Stockholm area.

About the assignment

The organisation is in a period of change and development with several parallel change initiatives. At the same time, there are operational and organisational challenges that need to be managed with structure, clarity and momentum.

As interim manager, you will relieve and support the organisation's managers in both strategic and operational leadership.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Analysing the current situation and identifying priority measures
• Creating structure, momentum and coordination in the operation
• Supporting managers in strategic and operational matters
• Coordinating and driving change work
• Leading and following up improvement initiatives
• Producing analyses, decision support and recommendations for senior management
• Contributing to business development and efficient ways of working
• Creating stability in day-to-day operations during ongoing change

You will have an important role in strengthening the managers' conditions to lead the operation through change and in helping to ensure implementation capacity.

Requirements profile

To be considered for the assignment, you need to have:

• An academic degree in leadership, management, logistics, shipping or equivalent experience deemed comparable
• At least two years' experience as an interim manager
• Documented ability to combine strategic analysis with operational execution
• Documented good results from operational activities
• Experience of producing analyses, decision support and recommendations for senior management
• Ability to drive and follow up improvement initiatives in complex operational environments
• Experience of change management and business development

Desirable

It is particularly advantageous if you have:

• Experience of leading other managers
• Experience of leading operations that run around the clock, 24/7

Workplace

The work is mainly carried out on site at the agency's premises in the Stockholm area. There may be the possibility of remote work up to two days per week.
