Psychologist for Cityläkarna Health Centre and Lotus Young People's Mental Health

Employment type: We apply a six-month probationary period, followed by permanent employment.

About the position, this position is unique as you get the chance to combine both child and family therapy with adult outpatient care. We are therefore now looking for a psychologist who would like to work in a dynamic and varied workplace. How much time you wish to spend at each clinic is agreed upon according to agreement and preferences.

Cityläkarna is a private healthcare centre that also has additional assignments UPH, Älvsborg Rehab Center and BVC/Family Centre linked to us.

We are now looking for a psychologist for our talk therapy clinic at the health centre. Here you will be part of an interprofessional team with doctors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and a talking-therapy nurse. The responsible care coordinator for mental illness triages and then refers the patient onward to the relevant profession for talk therapy treatment. In your role as a psychologist, you will conduct individual talk therapy with adults listed at Cityläkarna. All forms of therapy are short-term therapy, where each patient receives approximately 10 visits. Much of our focus is based on CBT, but this is not a requirement. You will also work closely with the occupational therapist and physiotherapist, focusing on the patient's mental well-being.

Lotus UPH works to promote the mental health of children and young people. We do this through groups, parental support and talk therapy. All forms of treatment are currently short-term, and our assignment also includes collaborating with various agencies and professions. In your professional role at Lotus UPH, the primary focus will be on children and adolescents in the form of assessments and conducting talk therapy. You will also provide parental support, which takes place individually or in groups. At Lotus UPH, we are also to offer various groups such as Affekt, Cool Kids or ABC in accordance with Region Västra Götaland guidelines. The work also includes coordinating interventions and collaborating with schools and social services, for example via coordinated individual plans. Meetings with our patients and other partners often take place in person but also digitally. So it is desirable that you feel at home in the digital world.

Job duties: Lotus/Cityläkarna

• Within Cityläkarna, conduct individual talk therapy.
• Assessments regarding possible referrals for, for example, neuropsychiatric investigations and other mental conditions that require specialist-level care.
• Talk therapy for children and adolescents.
• Act as the "spider in the web" by coordinating and collaborating with schools, social services or other stakeholders. This means that you will take part in interprofessional meetings focusing on ensuring that interventions for children and young people are coordinated in the best possible way.
• Within Lotus, work with parental support and help guardians to handle difficult situations and strengthen the relationship with their children.
• Lead group activities for both children and adults, e.g. parent groups, ABC

Qualifications:

• Focus on CBT
• Experience of working with children and young people is requested.
• Experience of working with parental support and leading groups is desirable but not a requirement.
• Good communication and collaboration skills. Being multilingual is also an advantage but not a requirement.
