Bus Driver – Gotlandsbuss

Gotlandsbuss is a central part of public transport on Gotland. Every day we help people get to work, school, leisure activities and all of the summer's events. In addition to scheduled services, we also operate school transport and on-demand transport, which provides a varied and developing working day.

Gotland is known for its bright summer evenings, beautiful coastal environments and lively summer, a place where work and quality of life meet. We are now looking for bus drivers who want to become an important part of our team and give passengers a safe and positive journey.

Location:

We are looking for someone who can be based at the Burgsvik depot.

Tasks

As a bus driver at Gotlandsbuss, you get a varied position where you can drive both scheduled services, school transport and on-demand transport. Regardless of the assignment, you are one of our most important representatives towards passengers.

Your duties include:

• Driving a bus in a safe, responsible and professional manner
• Driving with a focus on environmentally friendly and economical driving
• Handling traffic situations calmly and securely, even under stress or disruptions
• Meeting passengers with a service-oriented and friendly approach
• Driving school transport with responsibility for the safety of children and young people
• Driving on-demand transport, such as group trips, association trips or event travel
• Representing Gotlandsbuss in a way that reflects our high ambitions
• Collaborating with traffic control and colleagues for efficient traffic operations

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Category D driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC
• Driver card for digital tachograph
• Good knowledge of Swedish and ability to communicate in English
• Access to own car (varying working hours)

Desirable:

• Experience as a bus driver, especially in scheduled, school or on-demand transport
• Experience in customer service or service-oriented professions

Introduction and support

You will receive introductory training led by experienced bus drivers. During your work, you also have the support of our traffic control, which is available to help and guide you when situations arise in traffic.

Safety and checks

As part of our safety work, the following applies:

• Alcohol and drug tests are carried out before employment
• Random alcohol and drug tests occur continuously during employment
• An extract from the Police criminal record is required upon employment
