CE Driver, nights, Sundays to Thursdays, permanent, based out of Almnäs/Södertälje

We are now looking for one or two drivers with a CE licence, forklift licence, Driver CPC (YKB) and preferably ADR piece goods or at least ADR 1.3 for a permanent assignment with one of our most important and best customers, who drives for DSV and departs from Almnäs just outside Södertälje.

We have always enjoyed supplying skilled drivers to our customers, both for shorter and longer assignments.

We are now looking for one or two drivers with a CE licence, forklift licence and preferably ADR piece goods or at least ADR 1.3 for a permanent assignment.

We are looking for a couple of drivers with a CE licence for a full-time night position, 5 nights a week, Sunday–Thursday. Working hours are approx. 18:30–02:15, with a 35-hour week. The working hours are initially provisional as this is a start-up of a new route. The driving starts from the DSV terminal in Almnäs and that is also where you finish your shift. You will handle a good deal of loading and unloading at the terminal yourself, so experience of forklift driving with a low-lift pallet truck and an understanding of how to double-stack and stow pallets/cartons/cages in a good way so that everything fits but still arrives undamaged is important. After you have loaded, you take the vehicle to Eskilstuna, where you take your 45-minute break and swap vehicles with the Örebro driver. After that, it is back to the DSV terminal in Almnäs to unload the piece goods at the terminal; there may be a trip to the ground-level area and you may possibly leave certain goods on the vehicle for the day driver to deliver.

The job is not particularly physically demanding but is more of a routine nature for terminal loading and unloading.

The job is very independent and free, because you basically have no manager hanging over your shoulder. The premises in Almnäs are newly built and fresh. It is important that we feel we can trust that you are a responsible person who can keep times and be present when you should, even if no one is monitoring you.

You do not need to be an expert at reversing with a truck and trailer, because there are only a couple of two reversals per shift, at the same gates and in the same places, you have plenty of time and space, BUT you must have sufficiently good judgement and experience to avoid damage to vehicles and goods, THIS IS IMPORTANT! You always automatically think that I would rather get out of the truck and look an extra time instead of taking a chance when reversing.

You will get to try the job for one or a couple of shifts, partly so that we can see that you have what is required in terms of experience, partly that you have the right attitude, and partly so that you also get the opportunity to try out your future job in peace and quiet and in the presence of one of our skilled employees. Simply get the chance to sense whether the job feels right for you.

We will not let you go off on your own until you feel confident that you have a grasp of what you are to do. We are happy to practise reversing and ride along with you until you feel secure. ADR is basically a must, at least 1.3.

Qualifications:

CE licence, Driver CPC (YKB), digital driver card, forklift licence and being able to express yourself well in Swedish in speech and writing are important. Furthermore, we see that you should be able to be clean and tidy, feel a responsibility for your job, because it is an important job.

Access to your own car is basically a must.
