Operations and Maintenance Technician

Z-Signaler is expanding its team in Luleå. We are therefore looking for operations and maintenance technicians for our office at Storheden in Luleå. With us, you will work with modern technology in traffic systems, from traffic signals and ITS solutions to VMS signs and weather stations – with all of Norrbotten as your work area. Your work is an important part of creating a safe and functioning traffic flow in society.

About the role

As an operations and maintenance technician with us, you will work with installation, commissioning, service, and troubleshooting of traffic signals, ITS equipment, VMS signs, and weather stations.

The work is varied and involves great personal responsibility. Our facilities are spread across the entire county, making travel a natural part of the job. On-call duty may also occur. You will play an important role in ensuring that the systems function properly – both in everyday operations and when it really matters.

Your tasks:

• Installation and commissioning of traffic signals, ITS equipment, and weather stations
• Troubleshooting, service, and repair of electrical systems
• Preventive maintenance to ensure operational reliability
• Job planning and scheduling of road closures (TMA protection)
• Collaboration with technicians, engineers, and programmers
• Documentation according to applicable standards and routines
• Contribute to a safe and well-functioning work environment

We are looking for someone who:

• Is self-driven, solution-oriented, and has high service awareness
• Enjoys both independent work and teamwork
• Is okay with travel as part of the job and occasionally working at other locations
• Has a valid driver's license (B)

• Experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Understanding of safety regulations and electrical codes
• Experience working on roads
• Experience climbing masts.
